WHAT WE DO: JMEC provides bridge routine and damage inspection and bridge load rating evaluations for many structural types. Inspection service is for visual and NDE bridge inspection, and prepare as-built plans if necessary. Bridge load rating includes the use of LRFD and LRFR rating method for HL-93, Legal and Permit Loads, SHVs, EVs and NRL per Caltrans Bridge Load Rating Manual (BLRM), FHWA and AASHTO MBE requirements. Both simplified procedures using AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to calculate LLDF and the use of CSiBridge computer software to model 3-D bridge model with soil springs and floating lanes live loads are used depending on the complexity of structures.
